Substitution

Both girls had their games cancelled today. We decided to go watch one of the other Vandalia teams play in the next town over. We happen to be good friends with the coach of the other team and Emily is very good friends with most of the players!

The team we went to watch was a player short so Emily was a fill-in. Luckily we had her gear in the van, the only thing she was missing was shorts and of course a uniform shirt.

Emily had to play the outfield since she was a substitute. This is a position she has never played. She is usually catcher or in-field. Today was a very good experience for Emily and we are glad we happened to be there to help out her friends!
