After the first game we were able to get autographs and pictures with Jennie Finch. She was so gracious and nice.
The stadium was very cute. We had great seats and the players walked around freely and signed autographs and posed for pictures for anyone who asked. We were also lucky enough to meet Coach Candrea who was the coach of TEAM USA in the 2004 Olympics.
We spent the night in a local hotel and after the games on Saturday night, the girls swam in the hotel pool!

The games were fun. Emily was chosen to play a game called "Finish the lyric". She had to finish the line to "Life is a Highway". She won tickets to Laser Tag in Akron.
The girls enjoyed every minute of the games and were in complete awe of the professional players. Emily hasn't put a softball down since we got home!
Man, the legs on those chicks! Oof da me!
ReplyDeleteI imagine the girls were thrilled with their last summer trip! They have all kinds of memories to share with their friends at school. Super cool!
Hope the first day back tomorrow goes perfectly. Can't wait to hear all about it.
What a fun time! Jennie Finch grew up near where I lived and her mom gets her hair done at my salon! The Olympics was a big deal as you can imagine. =0)

Jennie Finch is a great person. So good with people and kids. It's cool her mom gets her hair done in your salon!!! If I lived there I would get my hair done every day just to meet the mom of my children's idol!!!
