Is it bad if a dog or dogs in this case eats an entire brand new container of tadpole food?
My favorite eldest daughter, who has problems keeping her room picked up, must have not noticed the container of food on her floor amongst the other things on her floor when we left this morning. When we walked in the door this evening, I noticed the empty container on the living room floor. Hope it doesn't make the dogs "croak"!!!
Poor Tad, has to go back to eating fish food since the $5 container of tadpole food lasted exactly one week.
Anyway, this tadpole was purchased in early March. As of late July, he is STILL a tadpole. Poor Tad has to live in his habitat which is now located on the top shelf of Emily's closet. The shelf is the only place the cats can't get to. I bring him down every few days to make sure he is still alive and to clean out his water. Oh, I feed him once in awhile too!
Can't wait to find out who Em's 4th grade teacher will be! Hopefully the teacher will be kind enough to allow Tad to be a classroom pet! He has to grow legs sometime, right?
6-12 weeks is how long it's supposed to take and every tadpole is different. Depends on the kind of frog it's going to be and the temperature of the water. And some take up to 9 months!! Did you know that they like lettuce? You are supposed to boil the leaves for 10 minutes and then freeze them flat on a tray and give it a few bits every few days.

I can't picture myself boiling lettuce for this thing, then again, if he loves it maybe he will grow legs!!
