Anyhoo, Buckeye Chuck didn't see his shadow today! Woo hoo! Early spring for us!
We have been lucky so far this winter but the past two days have not been good weather days. We have an inch if not more of ice on the ground and last night very high winds. I laid awake all night listening to branches fall on the roof. Sounded like someone was having a party up there!
Around 10:50 last night we heard a loud crash. Ron opened the front door and this is what we saw (kind of hard to see from the fog on the glass).
I took these this morning once we had some daylight...
Knock on wood we haven't lost power...yet. A lot of people around us have. Montgomery County is at a Level 2 emergency and a lot of the surrounding counties are Level 3. Supposed to get more snow and some high winds today so praying we don't lose power and praying those who have lost power have it restored soon.
Hope everyone is safe and warm!
Wimps, wimps, wimps!! We would have had school! Just kidding....glad those branches missed your house. Nothing like breaking glass at 2 in the morning! Hope you enjoyed your day off! I am jealous. -44 wind chill here today and not even a late start for school. We are tundra-loving people I guess. Nothing is going to stop us....
