Celebrating 12

Since we didn't have a birthday party for Emily last year (oops) we knew we had to get one in this year.  We managed to have her party in the same month in which she was born, BONUS!

Decorating pumpkins

Meg and her friend played badmitton most of the day.

Forgot to order a cake so we bought this last minute.  Very cute!

Homecoming Parade

Just realized I didn't post pics from the VBHS homecoming parade (9/23/11).

Little bit of background...Both of my girls play for the Future Lady Aviators which is a select basketball team.  FLA is a non-profit organization.

Every year some of the girls from the prior FLA season walk in the parade carrying a banner to promote the organization and to get the name out in the community.

About a week before the parade I emailed the President of FLA asking if the girls were going to be in the parade.  Somehow through the power of email the President read "I will be more than happy to organize the girls and walk with them in the parade".

The President was nice enough to send out the first email then I took over with the rest.  We ended up with quite a few girls but they were disappointed when they found out they had to walk instead of ride in the back of a truck!  We were lucky enough to walk behind the Vantasia dance team so the girls were able to boogie down the street which was a lot of fun!

Had to throw this in...Meg and Gracie are both in 4th grade.  Look at difference!
