Jesus Day

Today was Jesus Day!

In preparing for First Holy Communion, the children made their very own clay Chalice!  The chalice will be spray painted gold and Megan will get to bring it home on May 1st after her first communion!  An exciting day for 2nd graders!

Name one song…

That really gets you going!!!
As you may or may not know, since Christmas I have faithfully been working out 4 nights a week minimum.  This place has become my third home (work being my second).

I have become fond of this machine (minus the TV).

Some nights I fly through my time on the machine and other nights it is a true struggle.  Tonight was one of the nights I struggled to get through my 30 minutes.  Nothing good on the over head televisions, every song on my iPod was boring me until this song… I Gotta Feeling.
(I know this isn’t the original version but I couldn’t resist posting.  I had heard great things about this performance and came across the video while searching for the original video.)
I can listen to this song over and over! My girls and I have sang this song many times.  It makes us happy.  It pumps me up and makes me move!  Before I know it I am moving to the beat and my heart is beating out of my chest!

What song pumps you up?

Ouchie!

We (Emily) have our (her) first “real” sports related injury.
Last night at basketball practice, one of Em’s teammates stepped on her foot and then Emily rolled her foot.  Her foot immediately swelled up.  Once we got home we propped up her foot, put some ice on it, and popped a few ibuprofen!
This morning Emily could not put any weight on her foot so Ron stayed home with her for the day while I went to work. This is what she looked like when I left for work.

I was completely worried the entire morning and didn’t get much work accomplished.  I made an appointment for Emily with her pediatrician.  She received the diagnosis we figured she would get…sprained ankle. The doctor wrapped her ankle and sent is on our way.
Oh and in case you care, I almost passed out at Emily’s doctor’s appt.  The doctor was twisting and turning her foot and Emily was wincing.  It was more than I could take.  That’s the reason I could never become a nurse!!!
Emily has been gimping around the house this evening.  She said it feels a lot better since the doctor wrapped it. I still get that “yicky” feeling in my stomach when she tries to put weight on her foot but hopefully that will get better along with her ankle!!!
